I want another taste

Nikki Pelier says, "You know what? I liked it. It was smooth and it was a perfect blend. I liked the oak. It was not too dry. and when I first tasted it, it actually made me want to have another drink."

One is not enough.

Melanie--We took this wine home last weekend. It was in our wine locker and when we saw it, we knew it would be better enjoyed at home. We drank it earlier this week and thought that it was amazing. I loved it. It was one of those wines where one glass isn't enough.

California, here we come!

Jesse gives this wine a thumbs up. Heck, it's 5:00 somewhere! I love blends and this one is nice and heavy and suited for my tastebuds. I love it. It's great! California! Yay!

Difficult without food.

Becky says: If I drink a wine like this, it has to be with a food like lasagne or pizza. It tastes fine, but it is difficult for me without food."

It's just a good wine.

Frank--It's a very noble wine with a rich bouquet with nice legs. It's rich. Full bodied. I could drink it. I like it.

It's delish

Tess says, "I'm sipping it real slow. It's actually delicious. Let me describe it. It's got a nice mellow sweetness but it's sharp in the middle with a sharp finish. ohhhhhh It's very rich. Tasteful. It's almost like dancing with an elegant, tall, dark, handsome and delish man."

A good wine

Mike--My wife was able to guess the high alcohol content of 14.5%. It's very nice wine that kind of jumps out at you. Very flavorful with a good finish.

Ben - This is my first blog. It really is interesting, and going well so far, don't you think? While I thought I would be meeting exotic ladies/women/girls/whatever from Liberty/KC/Birmingham/whereever (is that e or ee, whatever) I would like to report that in the wine tasting tonight, everything was very consistent. #2 was better than #1, #3 was better than #2, #4 was better than #3, #5 was better than #4, #6 was better than #5... (I love it when Jake runs the tastings) and so forth. The one I'm drinking right now is really good. You should try it. I think it was #4 (damn maybe #5). Anyway real good. You should try it. Another think about Coming Home, makes me feel really sophisticated. Gets you out there past "handsome", "bulletproof", even "invisible". Oh yeah, and and "best freaking dancer on The Square".

Guenoc Cabernet Sauvignon

This is Valerie and I get the honor of the first review!

The first thing I noticed about the Guenoc cab was the rich color. Very intensely plum colored with a clear ring, it looked nice against a white background. The scent was quite outdoorsy and fresh. I held it on my tongue, and it tasted best toward the back.

This is smooth for a red wine. It's also deep and smoky. It tastes best when you hold it in your mouth a while I would definitely reccomend this for a cold night snuggled in front of the fireplace.

Guenoc Cabernet Sauvignon

The wine of the week from September 5-12 is the Guenoc Cabernet Sauvignon out of Howell Mountain, Lake County, Napa California. We are tasting a 2005 vintage bottle tonight. Stay tuned for impressions from some of our friends!
