The Wine of the Week for September 19-26 is the Wente Vineyards 2005 Crane Ridge Merlot. This is a particularly smooth vintage, with delicious undertones of blackberry and vanilla with a smoky oak finish. It was fermented standing upright in stainless steel fermenters, and aged for at least 12 months in American and French oak barrels.A bottle of this wine is $25 at the Coming Home wine room.
